Building a snowboard rail is not as difficult as it may seem. The main thing your going to need is a long narrow piece of metal railing. If you don't want to buy a railing you can probably find one at a junkyard.
Once you have your railing you need to pack some snow up on the side of it. So you have a soft landing, be certain that you pack snow on both sides of the railing. Grinding rails is more difficult to do with a big snowboard than with a smaller skateboard.
